Step Out of Your Comfort Zone

This is a topic that I wish I had listened to whenever I was going off to college. This is something I am experiencing now and so proud of myself for. I have been an on campus college student for about two weeks now and loving it. Although, I do not think that I would be loving it as much as I do if I hadn't met the friends that I did. I huge problem that I have had my entire life is talking to people, meeting new people, and being in new surroundings, just that entire realm of social skills. Luckily, over the last couple years I have found myself and realize that God is in control of every situation and nothing is impossible if I have Him on my side. So since I moved to an entirely different state, across the country, I made it a point to find my group of friends and with God's blessings, I have actually found multiple group of friends and ones that have the same hobbies as I do but yet they are different from each other. I have found a group of girls to workout with i...

Must Have School Supplies for College

Whenever I was looking online at sites like Pinterest and YouTube to see what were some really good school supplies for going off to college, I was kind of looking all over the place. There was no consistent list of must haves for college school supplies. In this post I am going to list the school supplies that I decided to buy in order to help me in school. Laptop - I had a laptop and received a new one for Christmas that has been a lifesaver while I have been in school. Not only will you use it for school work, you will love it on the weekends when you just want to have those Netflix nights in your dorm all cuddled up on a rainy day. Notebook(s) -  I decided to invest in a Five Star Five Subject Notebook for school because I knew that I was enrolled in five classes so instead of having to remember each notebook for each class, I am able to just grab that one and go to class. If you prefer to have single notebooks for each class instead, that would work too...

How to Take Care of Yourself in College

At the beginning of the new college journey, there is all the excitement about being around new people and having the chance to start over. I had this same thought as I moved across the country in order to attend college. I had this idea that I was going to wake up early, spend time on my makeup, make my hair look all cute, and make sure my outfits were on point every since day. Although I have accomplished that goal so far, that whole " making sure I look cute everyday" thing is slowly diminishing. Just an FYI - I have only been here for 12 days. I started thinking about something that all college girls would struggle with and that was the fact of taking care of herself. Making sure she is presentable to her fellow peers although very comfortable. Now, my college has a dress code because we are a private, Christian university so it is a little easier for me to wake up in the morning and actually work on my appearance because we cannot wear what a normal college girl c...

And The Journey Begins

If you have not already, go check out the about me section of my blog in order to know what this blog is all about. .... And the journey begins. As of Saturday, January 14th, 2017, I have been at my dream college for exactly a week. If you didn't know, I attend a private Christian University called Southwestern Assemblies of God University (SAGU). I am considered a freshman although I have the credits to be considered a sophomore ( but that's a different story ). So far, I am loving this school so much! I am making a ton of great friends, wonderful roommate and suite mates, loving all of my classes, and most of all, growing closer to the Lord. If you didn't know on top of regular academics, SAGU has a main focus on God and ministry. We are an Assemblies of God based school which also includes being a mission minded school. This school is growing me spiritually and mentally more and more every single day. I have five classes total, two classes on Tuesdays and Thursda...
